- Hi, I've been having some very unusual problems with my new Sportster. Almost
- everytime I try to connect to my University modem pool I get disconnected
- within 40 seconds for absolutely no reason. If I do ati6 sometimes it tells me
- the reason for disconnect was an invalid codeword, whatever that means. But
- often times it tells me that I never even made a connection and all the numbers
- are zeros. I've never had any problems with my old modem a Supra 14.4. This
- problem occurs in DOS, Windows comm programs, but only the first couple times I
- try after the third or so it seems stable. I don't know if this problem only
- occurs with the University's modem pool since they are the only thing I dial in
- to. Has anyone seen or heard of this problem before??? I would greatly
- appreciate any help! Thanks.
